Action not only provides a safe place for people to live but we also work closely with individuals so that they have every chance of fulfilling their potential and can successfully move on into independent living. Through our Adult Support Services we enable people to gain the skills and confidence to increase future life choices.
Since 2012 DADAS has been running across Derby and Derbyshire, providing a stable and safe home for individuals with multiple needs to live.
The aim of the project is to provide a warm environment for customers along with a high level package of support.
At DADAS we know that one size doesn’t fit all that is why it is imperative we take a person centred approach to how we support customers in this service. We do this by listening to the customers needs and taking a non-judgemental approach.
Elliott Court is a welcoming and safe place to live for people who have recently experienced homelessness. By taking time to get to know each other, we work closely together in order to identify the best possible opportunities for success. We believe that understanding each other’s strengths and aspirations is the key to fulfilling potential. Therefore, as well as providing a friendly home, we strive to offer a range of enriching social activities including gardening, cooking and music workshops.
Elliott House is a therapeutic environment in Rotherham, specifically for adults who need help with their mental health. As well as working closely with local health services to ensure that the people in our care receive the best possible treatment, we work hard to create opportunities for residents to engage in activities that will improve their general wellbeing and state of mind.
We believe this type of simple, person-centred approach can have as much of a positive impact as specialist, clinical intervention.
The Sustainable Tenancy Project (STP) is a unique project that works across Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. It is designed to help people who have never had their own tenancy before or who have had a failed tenancy in the past.
The aim of the project is to provide practical support that focuses on successfully managing a tenancy such as dealing with bills, being a good neighbour and living independently.
The project gives customers a warm, safe environment in which to live and a package of support, including our exclusive ‘Ready to Rent’ course.
VAP (Vulnerable Adults Pathway)
At VAP we support adults with a range of issues, such as mental health, autistic spectrum disorder, mild learning disabilities and offending behaviour. Our aim is for customers to establish and maintain independence in a home where they feel safe and secure.
