Action are extremely pleased to announce that we have received a donation of £6264 from Co-op. The money has been raised by Co-op members over the past year, as part of the Co-op community initiative. Each time a member buys selected products then a small percentage of the purchase is donated to the member’s chosen charity.
Action celebrated the donation by spending the day at the three Coop stores in Sheffield that raised the money. Not only was this a chance to pose with a giant cheque, but also a fantastic opportunity to thank Coop members and talk to them about how their donations will benefit victims of domestic abuse in their City.
The money donated to Action comes as part of the £19 million that Co-op have donated to a wide range of charities this year. The £6264 that Action have received will be used to support the Sheffield Domestic Abuse Outreach Project.
The money raised by Co-op members will be used for a wide range of support for victims of domestic abuse. It could include funding for childcare, travel and resources to support survivors of domestic abuse to attend group work and peer support networks. All of which will help the people that we support to rebuild their lives and move forward.
We would like to say a big thank you to members from Broad Lane, Crookes and the Glossop Road Co-op stores for raising a fantastic amount of money for the domestic abuse victims that Action Support in Sheffield.
